I know I'm not the only one having problems with a mouse on a glass-topped table. Most of the mice around does not really work well on a glass or shiny surface. But just recently Logitech introduced a couple of mice that will work on glass-topped tables or almost any surface save the really course ones. According to Logitech they are using the Darkfield Laser Tracking technology to enable the mouse to work well on any high-gloss surface and clear glass. One catch though for this to work is 4mm thickness of the glass.
The first of the two, the Performance Mouse MX which will be available this month and will costs you $100.

And the Anywhere Mouse MX, will go on sale this month as well for $80.

Both the Anywhere Mouse MX and the Performance Mouse MX are cordless and uses Logitech's own 2.4GHz wireless technology. Notice the tiny USB adaptors which is really ideal for laptops since you can just leave it attached in the USB port. The Anywhere Mouse MX needs 2 AA batteries while the Performance Mouse MX comes with a built-in rechargeable battery.
