Panasonic is claiming the world's first waterproof, shockproof and dustproof digital camera capable of recording 720p HD videos.

Planning on snorkeling? Take the 12.1MP Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 with you since it can capture video and pictures from a depth of up to 3 meters. Though you have to take it out of the water after 1 hour. The Lumix DMC-TS1 can also survive a 5-foot drop so you can take it with you in your not so high climbs as well.

Aside from being a waterproof, shockproof and dustproof camera, it has an ample 4.6x optical zoom and a 28mm wide-angle lens. The LCD screen is not that generous though at 2.7in and it is not touch-sensitive. Other features include optical image stabilization, intelligent exposure mode and face detection. It also boasts a Wind Cut technology minimizing if not blocking noise from background wind during video capture. It has seven available scene selection modes that a user can choose from.

Digital camera fanatics, be ready to pay for about $400 for this gadget which is available in silver, green or orange body colors.

COOL! Though it kinda looks like an upgraded version of those ubiquitous mp5 players, this baby sure is a great thing to have. If I have $4oo.
