The downside? Since this is worn as a belt I assume the videos that you will be taking is from the belt down too. Unless if you'll not be doing closeup so you can record the scene that you want.
The Belt Buckle Spy Camera is available to buy from Chinavasion, there are no details on pricing as yet.

Posted by JCO | 10/22/2008 06:19:00 PM | Computers and Laptops | 0 comments »Here's how you can get to the inside of your MacBook: push in a flip-up catch to release the battery cover and you have access to the MacBook's battery and its hard drive which is retained by a single screw. Remove these and the remaining case screws, and the memory, logic board, optical drive, speakers and so on are right before you for inspection and removal.

MacBook and MacBook Pro are opened in the same way. So go ahead and give your tech side a first glimpse of what's inside your Apple laptop.

With the use of Compare Suite compare file utility, it will not be that hard for you to check the differences or changes made in two files. And the good thing about Compare Suite is you can compare different file formats. You can compare xlsx file with another excel file, you can also compare docx files. Comparison between two different file types is also possible, that is comparing a Word document versus an Excel file. And not only that, you can compare cpp files as well. What’s more? You can even compare two folders. Isn’t it just amazing? Comparison between files can be done by characters, by words or by keywords. So what else would you be needing? This seems the perfect file comparison utility that I’ve come across. You can try it for free for 30 days. Just go to the Compare Suite website and experience it yourself.

OpenOffice version 3.0 now supports ODF 1.2 document format, it also has the ability to handle a wide range of VBA macros, and the ability to open documents from Microsoft Office 2007. Isn't this just great? Downside is, due to the high download demand the site (openoffice.org) is struggling to meet all download reust for the software. A good alternative is getting it from BitTorrent.

Posted by JCO | 10/08/2008 08:54:00 PM | Computers and Laptops | 0 comments »The virus, recycled.exe, is hidden in the Eee Box's 80GB hard drive’s D: partition. Once opened, the virus is activated and attempts to infect the C: drive or any other removable drive that is connected to the machine.
The malware is likely to be the W32/Usbalex worm, which creates an autorun.inf file to trigger recycled.exe from D: according to Symantec. Fortunately, the virus can be removed by Microsoft's most recent malware removal tool update.

Secure your mobile phone
Posted by JCO | 10/01/2008 03:42:00 PM | Mobile Phone, Technology News | 0 comments »But thanks to Maverick Mobile, you can somehow increase the security of data if not your phone at all. Maverick Mobile won praises from other participants of a recent DEMO gathering of 72 startups in Southern California by debuting software. All with the aim of letting rightful owners of stolen mobile phones track them, if not turn them in, and torment them as well.
Maverick Secure Mobile software installs itself in the mobile’s hardware not in the SIM card which makes it hard to rid of. So even if the thief changes SIM cards, the owner can still track the phone. The software also encrypts data that is stored in the phone. So once the original SIM is replaced, the software will send the new SIM card number and location data of the phone to another mobile designated by the owner. It will also send the telephone numbers that the thief has called as well as copies of messages that were sent. The best part is, owners can disable the phone or they can have the phone blast an irritating sound which will only stop once the batteries are taken out. Reinstalling the batteries will reactivate the blaring sound. That makes the phone really useless unless the thief wants it as a paperweight.
