Hundreds of fake Nintendo DS and DS Lite machines are showing up in US ports which prompted Customs to seize these counterfeit consoles which were bought from different Asian-based websites.

Nintendo already confirmed that the confiscated gaming consoles are indeed counterfeit. The said gamings devices are being retailed at £40 which was really cheaper compared to the regular £100 price. The websites are advertising the Nintendo DS and DS Lite as genuine which is not true.

We know the quality of counterfeit products. Yes they are cheaper but you might be at risk when you buy one. As what Nintendo said, the power supplies of copycat machines are not tested which can pose potential injury to the user.
