Microsoft is releasing an emergency security fix for its browser Internet Explorer that has exposed millions of its users to hackers. The security hole dubbed "zero-day" vulnerability allows hackers to take over a victim's computer. This was done simply my directing the unsuspecting user to an infected web site. The users don't have to download anything to get infected, they simply visit the site and the programming code will be at work. This makes it dangerous because everybody can be a victim by simply going to an infected web site.

The flaw in Internet Explorer browser makes a user's computer vulnerable to hijacking by hackers. According to Trend Micro Inc. there are almost 10,000 compromised web sites.

The security update, rated as "critical", was planned to be released Wednesday.
