
Toshiba had announced the latest model in its slimline Portégé laptop range - the Portégé R600, which it claims to be the world's thinnest and lightest laptop, the MacBook Air beater. The new model comes in two versions: a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 model with 1GB of 800MHz DDR 2 memory and a 128GB solid-state drive, or a cheaper 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo SU9300 version with 2GB of 800MHz DDR 2 memory and a 160GB SATA HDD.

Gadgets and technology buffs here in the Philippines need to wait though since the Toshiba Portégé R600 has only just shown up on the firm’s Canadian website so far.
