Another first from Asus, the G71 – a quad-core gaming laptop. Asus claims it is the world’s first gaming laptop with a quad-core processor which can make the game is over for the likes of Alienware and VoodooPC.

Asus G71 boast Intel's four-core Core 2 Extreme QX9300 processor, the very same one being used by Dell's new Precision M6000 notebook. The CPU is paired with Nvidia GPU: the GeForce 9700M which has 512MB of GDDR 3 video memory. Not yet satisfied? System memory is DDR3 which at 4GB was clocked at 1066MHz.

Other specs:
up to 1TB of storage capacity
802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
two-megapixel webcam
17-inch screen
usual ports plus HDMI and eSATA
Blu-ray/DVD#177;R/RW combo drive

Gamers and tech gadgets addicts, you still have to wait when Asus G71 will be released for sale. No idea yet for that as well as the cost.
